Frequently asked questions | Corporative | Working at Aena

Preguntas frecuentes

1. If you are interested in working with us:

As a listed state-owned company, Aena is subject to the State Budget Law and so the selection process is carried out through an open call for applicants. When job positions and/or banks are announced, they can be accessed through the "Employment" section of the website www.aena.es where you can fill out the application during the set application period. This option remains deactivated when there are no positions.

2. If you are interested in receiving job vacancy alerts:

You can register on our job portal http://empleo.aena.es, in the "lnterested" section, to receive a notification in your inbox when a job vacancy is posted. You simply need to enter your email address and confirm your interest via the verification email you receive. You can consult the application requirements and the submission deadline for each vacancy, plus the features of the jobs you are applying for.

3. If you are applying or have applied for a vacancy and/or bank and you need to send a query:

Depending on the vacancy you have applied for, send your queries to:

  • seleccion@aena.es for placement vacancies that are scale D-F (compulsory secondary education, the baccalaureate or vocational training)
  • selecciontitulados@aena.es for placement vacancies that are scale A-B (university graduates).

4. If you are interested in gaining work experience outside of/or as part of your university study programme:

To do work experience at Aena as part of your course, your university must have a collaboration agreement with our organisation. The company itself must justify the need to reach this agreement and there must also be a need for a student doing in-house work experience. In this case, the company will get in contact with the corresponding university to start the process to advertise work placement positions. You can also ask your university which internships are available in which companies.

5. If you are interested in the test subjects for the application process:

In the “Occupations” section of the Aena Employment website, you can find information on what each job entails, which can help you select the occupation that is best suited to your profile.
For each job opening, the different selection process tests are published and can vary considerably. Generally theory tests are not a part of the application process (in the case of scale A and B occupations), but language, aptitude and behavioural tests are usually required.
It is important to emphasise that Aena has no agreements in place with study centres with regards to preparing for entry exams. Nor does it contemplate the option of providing example test papers for previously listed job vacancies.

6. If you are interested in jobs relating to airport operations:

For example, cabin crew (pilots and flight-attendants), flight coordinators, handling agents (billing agents and ground crew for various airline companies), flight dispatchers, ramp agents (baggage handlers), cleaning service staff, assistance staff for passengers with reduced mobility etc...you should get in direct contact with the airline companies, technical support advisers or study centres etc...as they are in charge of managing, selecting and recruiting their own staff, not Aena.

7. If you are interested in the airports we manage in Brazil:
