Aena calculates its carbon footprint every year, which makes it possible to monitor the progress made to achieve the objectives of the Climate Action Plan and identify the effectiveness of the measures applied.

The following is the evolution of Aena's carbon footprint equivalent in tonnes of CO2:

The table includes the tCO2e emissions of Aena SME SA and SCAIRM for the 2019-2022 period, verified in accordance with the UNE-EN ISO 14064-3:2019 criteria, with a limited safety level, under the GHG Protocol calculation methodology, and in the case of the 2023 footprint in accordance with the requirements of the International Standard on Assurance Engagement ISAE 3410, using the calculation procedure outlined in the following document:
