Operational Safety Regulations | Aena S.M.E., S.A.

The Apron Safety Regulations (ASR) is the result of Aena S.M.E., S.A.'s concern for achieving safe and efficient ground operations throughout the Aeronautical Operational Safety Zone (AOSZ).

The apron and the rest of the AOSZ are areas with numerous risks to people, vehicles and aircraft, so clear rules and procedures are required to ensure safe, smooth and efficient operation. These rules and procedures are set out in the Apron Safety Regulations.

All persons who drive vehicles or carry out their activities on the apron and the rest of the AOSZ must know, understand and apply the latest edition of the Regulations.

Safety in the AOSZ is a shared responsibility of all those involved in ground operations. Commitment, both individual and collective, is essential to prevent incidents, minimise risks and ensure a safe working environment.

Complying with the ASR does not mean only complying with the rules, but also making an active commitment to safety, prevention and operational excellence in airport surroundings.
