At Aena we are firmly committed to the corporate values of an ethical and compliant culture. We also strongly condemn the any kind of unlawful act.
These corporate values inspire the actions of all Aena professionals.
What is compliance?
The compliance function enables Aena to detect and manage the risk of non-compliance with applicable regulations and our rules of conduct by means of policies and procedures in accordance with our nature and applicable legal framework.
What internal standards set out our corporate values?
Our Code of Conduct establishes the principles and values of ethics, integrity, legality and transparency that must guide the conduct of all Aena professionals and is the cornerstone of our Regulatory Compliance System.
In addition, our Third Party Code of Conduct also conveys these corporate values to Aena's suppliers and customers.
With the Regulatory Compliance Policy, Aena also reinforces its commitment to the values and principles set out in its Code of Conduct, and to the diligent exercise of due control that is required to minimise as far as possible the risk of malpractice or non-compliance with regulations in the performance of its activity.
What is our commitment to tackling corruption?
Aena is firmly committed to the permanent monitoring and sanctioning of acts and conduct that are fraudulent or encourage any form of corruption.
As the maximum expression of this commitment, Aena has an Anti-Corruption and Fraud Policy and a Corporate Services Policy.
Who ensures compliance?
Our compliance culture is based on the cooperation and involvement of each and every Aena professional.
In addition, we have specific units, such as the Compliance Monitoring and Control Body (OSCC) and the Compliance Department.
The OSCC has been designated by the Aena Board of Directors, to which it reports, as responsible for the implementation, development and application of the Regulatory Compliance System and the Internal Information System.
The Compliance Department acts of behalf of the Body, performing the functions related to the day-to-day management of the Regulatory Compliance System and the Internal Information System.
What is our communication channel?
We foster a culture of active listening with our stakeholders through our Internal Information System, which includes the Whistleblower Channel as a formal mechanism for communication, consultation or reporting alleged irregularities.
Aena guarantees the confidentiality or, where appropriate, anonymity of whistleblowers and their protection against reprisals.
