Accessibility

Aena S.M.E., S.A. works to provide its users with a communication channel that is accessible, inclusive and adapted to the needs of all people, with the aim of eliminating digital barriers and facilitating universal access to the information and services available on its website.

This effort is aligned with the provisions of Royal Decree 1112/2018, of 7 September, on accessibility of public sector websites and applications for mobile devices, as well as with Law 11/2023, of 8 May, which transposes into Spanish law Directive (EU) 2019/882 of the European Parliament and of the Council on accessibility requirements for products and services. In addition, the technical criteria defined by the UNE-EN 301549:2022 standard and recommendations of the Guide for the edition and publication of websites of the General State Administration are followed.

Our website is currently being adapted to comply with the accessibility requirements established in the UNE-EN 301549:2022 standard, based on accessibility guidelines for web content WCAG 2.1, level AA.

WAI Guidelines

Aena is working to achieve Double-A certificate validation for its website content, in accordance with the recommendations of the WAI (Web Accessibility Initiative), an international working group which is part of the W3C (World Wide Web Consortium) and which works to ensure that no group experiences discrimination of any kind which could lead to social fractures in the virtual world.

In this sense, the techniques used in the Aena portal follow those recommended by the WAI, regarding both XHML and CSS, with the exception of PDF documents, subtitling and audio-description of all videos and multimedia players used.
